Configure SMS Options
If your library has enabled it, you can set up how and where you get SMS text messages from your library.

Go to the My Account area. |

Click Change SMS Options. |

If necessary, log in to SirsiDynix e-Library. |

To add a phone number to receive text messages, click Add Phone. |

Specify a short description for this phone number. This is only used for display purposes. |

Select the country or region for this phone number from the Country drop-down list. You must select an option from the list before you can save the SMS settings. |

Type a Phone Number to use. You should only type the phone number that a friend would use if they were in your same country or region. Therefore, do not include any plus sign (+) or country-specific dialing code. |
Note: You should only specify a phone number that can receive SMS text messages (such as a cell phone). Also, keep in mind that you may be charged by your cell phone carrier for any text messages you receive.

Specify the types of text messages you want to receive at this phone number by selecting the appropriate check box. |
You can select to be notified of one or more of the following: overdue items, when an item you placed on hold is ready to be picked up, if you have any money owing, messages sent to you directly from library staff, and general library announcements.

To remove a row with a phone number, select the checkbox in the Remove Phone column and continue to the next step. |
When the library next sends out an SMS text message for one of the types you selected, you should receive it at the specified number.
